Lessons learnt from life in the fast lane: Digital innovation in Formula 1
Mclaren is one of the most successful teams in Grand Prix racing, creating some of the most iconic cars in the sport’s history. Their mission is simply to win. To be this successful requires focus, ambition, imagination, determination and attention to detail.
Modern Formula 1 teams use thousands of cutting-edge computers to measure, control, analyse and simulate every aspect of a grand prix car. McLaren software engineer and our expert speaker Chris Alexander will take you on a whistle-stop tour of how the McLaren Racing Formula 1 team handles the ultra-fast, hyper-technical requirements of racing in Formula 1. Along the way, you will discover what lessons they have learnt to ensure that Mclaren’s technology and its people keep up with the relentless pace of the industry. From communication on a day-to-day basis, what bespoke software they design and build in-house, to how the whole team plays its part in race weekends ensuring that they deliver race in, race out – this fascinating insight to an exciting industry is not one to be missed!
